The Art of Life

This little cutie is one of my baby planners and this was my third session with him…he has sure grown in the last year!  Always a joy to photograph, this handsome little guy really keeps me on my toes!  He was SO busy this last time…I can’t blame him though…the world is a pretty interesting place!  I know by the end of the session, mom, dad & I were all pooped…but I think it was worth it.  Here’s little Mr. J

This is my third session w/Mr. K (last years peek is here), and it has been so fun to watch him grow up year by year. He now has a one year old little sis and my oh my she was too cute for words! And she was so cooperative…even with the million mosquitoes on attack. I have loved doing all the family sessions lately, but it was such a great time to get to hang out and photograph some little ones again…they are just my favorite!

Going through the gazillion images I took in St. Louis has taken a lot of time! This session is no exception…these boys were so sweet & so fun & so cooperative &amp so handsome that I just could not stop photographing them! This session was a great way to end my busy weekend in hot, humid St. Louis, and I had lots of fun playing with the K family! Mark your calendars for July 26th for the first Wisconsin Christian Homeschool Education Association’s Family Fun Fair!  There will be food & games & prizes and fun for the whole family, whether you homeschool or not! There is also a contest for kids 11-18, for art, creative writing, photography & baking!  If you didn’t already know, we are a homeschooling family & we just love it!  The CHEA is a great organization that supports, promotes & works hard to protect the rights of homeschoolers in Wisconsin.  So, come show your support & enjoy some family fun on July 26th…we’ll be there!  It will be held in Waukesha & you can get the details here

Happy 4th…I hope everyone has a safe and fun-filled 4th of July!  Lets celebrate our freedom & liberty…and not forget the sacrifices that have been made to give us that freedom!  God Bless America!

 and a HUGE Happy Birthday!!!! to my handsome nephew who is turning 8 this week!  He’s just so kind & smart & handsome & thoughtful…and is really an amazing kid…we love you Buddy

This was a fun session, albeit after a hot hot humid day and this was my third session of the day…so I was getting pooped!  But, we got so lucky that the light was beautiful, the sun was going down and the sky was clear…it was my favorite time of the day!  This family was up for trying anything and they were lots of fun!  You could also tell there’s lot of love in this family..and did I mention that mom is too stinkin’ cute!?!

Here is a peek at the 2nd family from St. Louis!  I had a hard time not jumping in the pool and enjoying a beer with their fun-loving dad! It was HOT & humid this afternoon and I have to say the St. Louis inhabitants are much tougher than I!  I am total heat wuss!  But anyways, this family was fun & they are in the process of completing a massive remodel of their home & it was worth it…their home is amazing! Thanks for having me G family!…and letting me corrupt you into trespassing on your neighbors yard

So happy that summer is finally here.  Hopefully the rains will be less intense & we will get a way with a low humidity summer (fingers crossed!).  I just wanted to mention quickly that the next few days I will be in & out of the office, due to extremely busy schedules, my oldest daughters dance recitals & my dh & I are off to the Jack Johnson concert on Saturday!  Woohoo!  So, I will be returning emails & calls but may not be able to get to them immediately.  Next week is slower so I plan to play catch up!  More sneak peeks coming soon for the St. Louis bunch!

In the spirit of the photoblog here’s some shots of our summery fun so far

It has been a long last three weeks…two trips out of town, home remodeling, getting sick, and a much needed family vacation.  But today I am back in work mode!

On of my out of town trips was a set of sessions in St. Louis.  11 Kids, 8 parents, 1 dog, 4 sessions in 24 hours & a whole lotta time with my mom (aka the assistant) & the St. Louis trip was a success!  It was HOT & HUMID down there (NOT my favorite weather combo I must say) but we lucked out and dodged all the storms!  I met 4 great families & took a LOT of pictures!  It was a great opportunity & I had a great time

So…onto the first sneak peek!  This family was a great way to start things off, everyone was calm and relaxed and the love within this family really shone through (even with three teenagers on board!). It was a pleasure & I hope you love these K family
