happy family…St. Louis take 3
This was a fun session, albeit after a hot hot humid day and this was my third session of the day…so I was getting pooped! But, we got so lucky that the light was beautiful, the sun was going down and the sky was clear…it was my favorite time of the day! This family was up for trying anything and they were lots of fun! You could also tell there’s lot of love in this family..and did I mention that mom is too stinkin’ cute!?!
Here’s some of my favorites!

Fun family…St. Louis take 2
Here is a peek at the 2nd family from St. Louis! I had a hard time not jumping in the pool and enjoying a beer with their fun-loving dad! It was HOT & humid this afternoon and I have to say the St. Louis inhabitants are much tougher than I! I am total heat wuss! But anyways, this family was fun & they are in the process of completing a massive remodel of their home & it was worth it…their home is amazing! Thanks for having me G family!…and letting me corrupt you into trespassing on your neighbors yard

aaahhhh summer :)
So happy that summer is finally here. Hopefully the rains will be less intense & we will get a way with a low humidity summer (fingers crossed!). I just wanted to mention quickly that the next few days I will be in & out of the office, due to extremely busy schedules, my oldest daughters dance recitals & my dh & I are off to the Jack Johnson concert on Saturday! Woohoo! So, I will be returning emails & calls but may not be able to get to them immediately. Next week is slower so I plan to play catch up! More sneak peeks coming soon for the St. Louis bunch!
In the spirit of the photoblog here’s some shots of our summery fun so far

Whew…I’m back!
It has been a long last three weeks…two trips out of town, home remodeling, getting sick, and a much needed family vacation. But today I am back in work mode!
On of my out of town trips was a set of sessions in St. Louis. 11 Kids, 8 parents, 1 dog, 4 sessions in 24 hours & a whole lotta time with my mom (aka the assistant) & the St. Louis trip was a success! It was HOT & HUMID down there (NOT my favorite weather combo I must say) but we lucked out and dodged all the storms! I met 4 great families & took a LOT of pictures! It was a great opportunity & I had a great time
So…onto the first sneak peek! This family was a great way to start things off, everyone was calm and relaxed and the love within this family really shone through (even with three teenagers on board!). It was a pleasure & I hope you love these K family

Out of the office again
I am headed out to a weekend of sessions in St. Louis then I will return on Sunday night. Next week is my family’s summer vacation so I will be responding to emails and calls on a limited basis. My regular schedule will resume the following Monday. Thank you!
Here are some pics from last weekend’s wedding. It was my step-brother’s wedding and my girls were the flower girls. I didn’t get much time or opportunity to shoot, as my hands were quite full with the kids, but I got a few I like. Congrats Nick & Katie!
The reception was at the train museum in Green Bay & we got to ride on a train called, the Josephine, which is also my oldest daughter’s name. She thought it was the greatest thing. And my 3 year old (above, and missing from many photos due to her fabulously cooperative & pleasant mood…and she fell asleep on me in the middle of the reception) thought it was amazing that she had a sister Josephine AND could ride a train named Josephine…they were so cute!

I am back in town…but today has been one of those days…you know the kind…where no matter how hard you try to get everything done you just can’t, nothing goes quite right & you were busy all day but got nothing done? Well, that’s what my day has been like. Trust me, I am trying to keep up but I have about a dozen calls to return & just as many emails to reply to. So, if I take a little longer than usual to reply, I apologize. I am working on getting back to everyone. Hopefully tomorrow will be better & back to business as usual! Thank you for understanding!

Just wanted to post quickly that the family and I are headed out of town for a wedding & I will not be able to respond to any emails or return any phone calls until Monday. If you have tried to reach me yesterday or today and I have not gotten back to you, you will hear from me on Monday. Have a great weekend! ![]()
to catch up
Sorry to be such a blog slacker…this past month has been very busy for my personal life (and administrative-end business stuff!) so I just haven’t gotten around to blogging. But the Delafield Art Walk was a success! The Fischer family won a complimentary session and we have gotten so much great feedback from the many people that stopped by to see us there. We are looking forward to the next event!
I have been working on quite a few projects, and I had the great pleasure of taking a course through MIAD this spring with many amazingly creative and talented photographers, which allowed me the chance to step back and shoot for me again…and I can’t tell you how refreshing that has been! I get asked a lot what I am working on in my spare time & I am working on a site for my fine art work, but in the meantime if anyone is interested in seeing what I’ve been up to, just email me and I’ll be happy give you the link to my personal blog and/or my flickr info. I know that some people do a fantastic job of mixing their personal and business blogs, but I just can’t bring myself to do it…I guess I’m just shy LOL! So…if you want to see my “other” side…just email & I’m happy to share! ;)
I have also been picking up with sessions again…I think everyone forgets that we can absolutely do sessions indoors…even in winter! It seems like everyone has been waiting for that perfect green summer scene to be outdoors, which, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE to be outside…but I also love to shoot indoors…it is so intimate and real & indoor natural light is some of my favorite! So…don’t forget…inside your home is a GREAT location! Also…please note that my schedule is starting to get BUSY for this summer and I’m booking into the fall already, so call asap to get on the schedule if you are interested in a session this summer. Here’s a little peek at some recent work: Isn’t she gorgeous? And if that isn’t enough, she is kind, funny and oh so talented! Olympic athlete, chiropractor, writer, speaker…she does it all! This was a fun session for me, and I think she had fun too! MB…you are fabulous! :)
Then this little beauty just charmed me & my girls…look at those blue eyes! Thanks for playing with us baby E! :)

Come and visit us this Friday night in the city of Delafield for the art walk/gallery night. I will be displaying my work and many products at the Touch of Whimsey store on Milwaukee Street, just east of Genesee Street (Hwy C). There will be carriage rides, food & many artists displaying their work. It will be a great time! So, come and visit us there from 5-8 pm on Friday and sign up from our drawing for a complimentary session! Here’s a few images to share…not so much portraits but we’ve just been enjoying every minute of family time outdoors we can get! I am soooo glad spring has arrived!

Thoughts & prayers…
for the families, community & school district who are mourning the tragic loss of Jennifer Bukosky, her unborn daughter Sophia & her 10 year old daughter Courtney Bella in the fatal collision in Oconomowoc last Friday. Also, her son Zachary, who survived the accident with minor physical trauma and the 10 year old friend who was also in the car and is still in the hospital. Jennifer was the much loved assistant principal at the local high school and now an entire school district suffers along with the family…this accident has impacted an entire community. It was so tragic. so sad. so wrong. You can read the details here. There has been extensive coverage in the area and there is such a deep sadness to this tragedy. The man responsible also needs prayers, as well as his family. Unfortunately, no matter what justice comes to the man who caused this, no one wins, as three lives are still lost and many families are forever changed. Please pray for everyone involved.
