The Art of Life

Last week I got to see some of my oldest, regular summer clients, which I look forward to every year. I photographed their handsome son as a two year old my very first year in business and every summer since! Since then they have had this adorable sweet girl, who is now 3! This is one of the best parts of my job…getting to watch families grow and kids grow up before my eyes. L family…as always, it was a pleasure to capture your beautiful children & the love within your family…and as always, I have about half a dozen mosquito bites, but it was well worth it, as always! Thank you for allowing me to be a little part of your family these last 5 years!

…but things have been very busy! Lots of sessions done this summer & fall and many more to go…yet no time to blog. I will try to get back to blogging more regularly as soon as I catch my breath.

On a similar note…I am currently BOOKED for 2009. And I will not be scheduling any sessions during December or January. If you would like to get on my list for late winter/early spring, just let me know.

I hope everyone is staying healthy and warm…hard to believe winter is nearly here again!

I had the honor of photographic this beautiful family at their friends lake house and I just love love the way these have turned out! So much beauty and love and joy and fun in this family…and lots of action with those three sweet boys! I know mom has been so patiently waiting for this sneak peek…and here it is…

One of the greatest blessings I have ever received from my work as a photographer is the connections I get to make with people and the joy of watching a family grow. I photographed this family the first time for their maternity session of their now 2&1/2 year old beautiful boy…and now, many sessions, laughs, and chats later, I got to photograph their newest addition, baby K. And what a handsome boy he is. Welcome to the world, little man

And lest his equally adorable and wonderfully spirited big brother be forgotten…

This fall has been full of families…and boys!  I am a wee bit behind with the proofing, but doing my best to catch up!  This was a fun session with a fun family!  Lots of faves to post here!  This session was done at the studio property as well and you just cannot beat the fall feel around here!  One of my favorite parts was the two boys playing chess…they were so fun!  Their little girl has some of the most beautiful blue eyes ever!  She was so chilly through the whole session but was such a good sport…and so spunky & cute!

Wow…I feel like I get just the most beautiful (inside and out!), smart & down to earth senior young ladies.  Ms. C was no exception…I had so much fun with her at our session!  I am glad that our property was a perfect fit for this outdoorsy girl…and what a great time of year too!   This was another session my fabulous sister Courtney joined me on…and I think she’s really starting to get the hang of …and maybe even like it!

I love love LOVE so many of these images!  Makes me wish I could go back and do-over my own high school senior photoshoot…nothing against Olan Mills…this was just a lot more fun!

Anyways…onto the images!  Isn’t her hair just gorgeous!?!

The triplets were back and this time they brought their little sister!  When I first met them a year & a half ago they were so little, so busy and so curious…this year they have grown SO much…they were still curious and active (I hope they got the stains out their tan pants!) but they were much more interactive with me this time.  They are so cute & sweet and their little sister is such a doll!  I can’t image finding any two parents more patient…which is probably why God knew he could bless them with 4 kids under 3 years old! What an amazing family!

Favorite after my own 2 redheads, of course (might it be that I am a little partial to red hair?)  The little lady M returned to me for her 1 year pics.  You may remember her from her 6 month session.  She is still a peanut & still sooo cute!  She was a little busier trying to get away from me this time!  It was a wet rainy morning, but thankfully the weather held out long enough for us to finish our session.  I have so many favorites from this session, but I know Mom is going to be anxious to see them so I processed these right away for her

This session was one of the most fun family sessions!  The kids were all little characters, but also all so sweet, you can see mom & dads love for each other & I had my sister with me, trying her out as an assistant (which by the way was awesome!).  I have so many images form this session, and despite the dark overcast and ferocious mosquitoes, I just love the way this session turned out!  Its so great to see a family thats just relaxed and happy to be themselves.  Here’s a peek!

If you can’t read the shirt on this one…it says “my mom is number one” and he WANTED to wear it!  How awesome is that?!?  This little guy is one of the characters I was talking about…I could listed to his take on the goings on of the world all day long…he cracks me up!

This little cutie is one of my baby planners and this was my third session with him…he has sure grown in the last year!  Always a joy to photograph, this handsome little guy really keeps me on my toes!  He was SO busy this last time…I can’t blame him though…the world is a pretty interesting place!  I know by the end of the session, mom, dad & I were all pooped…but I think it was worth it.  Here’s little Mr. J
