The Art of Life

Being that this was my first time in St. Louis and not knowing the area I had no idea that the awesome little town we picked for the session was going to be so busy! There were people everywhere…including other photographers shooting their own sessions. So, to say the least it was a little hectic, but it didn’t matter, because we still got great shots! And what a beautiful family! So, despite the busyness this was still a fabulous location and I wish we had a place like this locally!

My St. Louis journey was quite busy…4 sessions in one day! The later sessions ended up being fairly quick ones but it didn’t matter with this family…what sweet kids…did everything they were supposed to and cooperated so nicely. And what a perfect location! So, no wonder it went so fast!

Not to mention what a good looking bunch of kids! They could all be models!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! The Lord has blessed my family tremendously this last year with good health, our home in the “country”, wonderful success for my business and many new friends, just to name a few things! I feel grateful to be able to work at home and be with my kids…and to have a job I love, that lets me meet and get to know fabulous families and capture their special moments and all that love! So, thanks for another great year & I hope you all have fantastic Thanksgivings!

And it wouldn’t be a good post without a picture…here’s a quick snapshot of the new pup with my girls…they are in seventh heaven being little mommies to him I must say, he is pretty darn cute…and quite the little sweetheart. Hopefully we’ll figure out a name for the little guy this week! Any suggestions?

I know I’ve been neglecting the blog but it has just been plain crazy around here! I just got back from a weekend of sessions in St. Louis and today we went for a 4 hour road trip to get our new puppy (pics will be forthcoming!). So…I have just been focused on getting sessions done and uploaded and orders delivered. But… I just had to share this little guy!

I first met him when he was still in his mama at her maternity session…then here at 4 days old…

I’d say he’s changed a lot in one year and wow is he every bit as cute & sweet as I expected! He was, however, dead set on not smiling for mom or I…luckily my baby-loving husband was around and he instantly cracked up for him. Looks like I have found myself a new assistant! Here’s little Mr. D…almost 1 year old

This little guy was so sweet & is oh so handsome! But with such a sweet mom its no wonder he’s such a lovable little guy. He’s at the awkward age of 4 months (one of the hardest baby ages to photograph) but we got some really great shots…here’s some favorites…

Fall is the season for family sessions & I have had the pleasure of working with many wonderful families this season! This is yet another gorgeous & sweet family! Their little girl is oh so cute and her eyes so blue…that pink and her blue eyes…perfection! Big bro was having the best time climbing our trees and getting chased by our crazy cat, Pip.
